On Saturday, February 10, 2018, Chuck Sodowsky became the 9th Certified Blockchain Professional by scoring a 80% on the certification exam. Chuck remarked, "This class made me realize how little I, like most people, knew about the topic of Blockchain and cryptocurrency in general. Being able to take a conversation past the point of a "Wikipedia" definition of Blockchain and Bitcoin will definitely make my next cocktail party and business meeting more entertaining! The class works well for complete Blockchain novices, such as myself, as well as those at a much higher level of understanding. The flow of the class works very well going from definition to detail with examples allowing one to tie the concept de-jour to real-world possibilities. I especially enjoyed learning more about smart contracts and how intermediaries could be bypassed, making an agreement really be cast in stone. If you agree to a term, you are bound to that term. There is no gray area. I believe smart contracts will be the area of greatest exploitation of Blockchain in the future. Paul recommends that students pay attention and take notes. I second that recommendation, as well as, I recommend replaying particularly detailed areas of the lecture multiple times to make sure you get all the facts. Be sure to study the slides, notes and previous exams before the final. Your answers are timed on the final, so counting on "open book" is not going to get you through. Overall - Great job on the course! I look forward to future Blockchain U Online courses and hope they get more into actually creating applications in Blockchain." Please join me in congratulating Chuck on his achievement! You can see more of Chuck's background on his LinkedIn profile here.
